Using Whatsapp for Instagram Rating (Truckee and FalconInstaAd projects)

Using Whatsapp for Instagram Rating

FalconInstaAd and Truckee projects which are offered by Appen and Leapforce involve rating Instagram media. The Instagram rating tool is only available only for the smartphone. Writing comments using this application can be inconvenient for a lot of reasons, small screen, small keyboard, and typing the comments can become a real chore.

However, I have found a way that uses Whatsapp Web Version that you can run on your PC. This allows you to use your PC Keyword so that it’s a lot easier to write comments. You can get the web version of Whatsapp by going to https://web.whatsapp.com

The process is simple. Once you have signed into the Whatsapp Web Version, you have to be able to send messages to yourself. The easiest way I have found to do this is as follows: (You can do these steps on the smartphone or the Whatsapp Web Version)

1. Make a group, call it “test”. Add any one contact to this group.

2. Once the group is created, remove this contact from group.

3. Now only you remain in this group. Rename the group as “Instagram Notes”.

Now you are easily able to create comments from the pc in your group, copy those directly from Whatsapp from the group you created, and paste those comments into the Instagram Rating Tool.

I hope this helps anyone who wants an easier way to write their comments instead of having to use the tiny Instagram application. This is especially useful for anyone that has bad eyesight. Looking at your Android phone for hours on end can cause fatigue and poor eyesight by itself.

As always, if you have any questions, leave a comment below, or email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

The Falcon Video Recommendations Project at Appen (Social Media Evaluator)

online-social-medi_2734204bAppen now has a new hot opportunity that anyone with a verified Facebook account can work on. It’s a very unique project that involves watching live video or live video feeds and rating these videos based on their content and whether or not they are useful to you or not. And while it sounds like a very easy job, it can be tricky if you don’t understand what Appen Hill is looking for when it comes to data collection.

Application process and set up

Step 1: the process to apply for the job is the same process that you would use normally for any other project that Appen Hill offers. Once you apply for the position, if you are selected, then you will start to receive instructions on qualifying. Yes you need to qualify for this particular job, but it’s nothing too difficult.

You may apply for Social Media Evaluator project here:

http://appen.com/company/opportunities/

The process will take 2-3 days in which you will be able to review the project guidelines, any additional materials concerning the job, including the presentation, and then completing a ‘Qualification quiz’. It’s very important that you use the same email and I recommend creating a new gmail account just for this purpose. The reason is that the emails that you will get are time sensitive, and having a new email will ensure that they don’t end up in spam or junk. Also it’s very important that you use the email address you have on file with your Appen application. So if you have already applied for Appen, use this same email.

After you have applied for the position, you will get an automated email from Appen saying that you will be contacted for the Falcon Video Recommendations Project. Once you have been contacted, a 6 step process begins. Applying for the project and making sure that your email is verified is the first part.

Step 2: the second part of the process will be setting up the Facebook Profile. You must use your Facebook account and it must be at least 1 year old and have no less than 50-55 friends. Your Facebook account has to be 100% truthful using your name that is on your Appen application. You should not have more than 1 Facebook account as this goes against Facebook TOS. Age group, location, name, and gender must be accurate.

Your Facebook ID will be used to set up your access in the Facebook tool you will use to complete daily assignments. Once set up, you’ll be given a batch of videos/pages which you will then evaluate based on the project guidelines. Through the tool, Appen Project Managers will have access to those batches, your ratings and the comments you provide. Appen does not have access to your personal FB information such as your account, messages, posts or network of friends. There will be no changes to your actual News Feed. Everything will be the same except that you will have access to what is called the FRT Tool.

Step 3: will be getting the Falcon Video Recommendations Project Guidelines. You should take some time to read through this carefully to understand exactly what you will be doing as a video rater, and most importantly, that you give the correct ratings and data. While it is an easy job, it can be a little tricky to understand how you should comment, and how those comments should reflect the numbers rating that you have given. Otherwise, you could find yourself moved off the project quickly.

If you have applied for the Falcon Video Recommendations project, and you would like some help or advice on the Qualifications Quiz, then let me know.

Step 4: will be getting your Sharepoint Access where you will be able to download all materials, including the guidelines, for the project. Take the time to get familiar with Sharepoint. This email will come from Appen Tech Support.

Step 5: you will also be invited to an open forum and it’s a good idea to check this out so that you can discuss what you’ve learned or ask others in the forum questions regarding the project or the guidelines.

Falcon project qualification quiz

The last step is receiving the instructions on completing the Falcon News Feed Qualification Quiz via Appen Global. Once you complete the online module, you will need to complete the quiz to qualify. Quiz results are instant after each question. IMPORTANT! You only get one chance to pass this quiz. They will not give a second chance to pass it under any circumstances. Qualification should take around 5 hours (Review of all emails and project documents, review of guidelines and PowerPoint presentation, open forum attendance and quiz).

Once you have completed the Quiz and successfully passed it, you will then be contacted by a Project Manager 1-2 days after the quiz. It is not necessary to email them.

Production work starts as soon as you have successfully completed the entire process. It is VERY important to once again mention that the deadlines for the process are very strict.

The Falcon Video Recommendations Project requires that you work no less than 5 days per week and one of those days must include a weekend. You can split the days as you like as long as one weekend day is worked. Each batch consists of 28-30 videos in which you are given a total time of 2.25 hours to complete. Time is automatically kept track of in the rating tool. You cannot go over the 2.25 hours per 30 video batch. If you stay on track, this comes out to about 4:00 minutes per video. There is a task at the end called the ‘bakeoff task’ which takes about 5 minutes to complete.

Appen Connect Truckee Project

instagram-980What is Truckee project?

Instagram has grown to almost 500 million active users. And like other online platforms, Instagram also has ads. This is where the human element comes again into play. For this job it is important to understand which advertisements people want to see in their ads. So you would be looking at your OWN feed and deciding which ads are relevant to you and which ads are not. Some of the things you would gauge the ad on would be relevancy, how useful the ad is to you, if the ad is entertaining, if the ad is offensive or misleading, and how much you want to see the ad in your feed.

The Instagram ads assessor project has a short qualification exam that will ask you some questions based on ads you might see, and what your situation is, and ask you how relevant the ads are. This is the relevancy part of the exam. Once you are in the project you are allowed to work 1 hour per day.

When you do make decisions based on the ads that you are seeing in your feed, you will be given the chance to explain your decision using comments. Comments are an essential part of your task when assessing Instagram ads and are incredibly important. If comments are not meeting the client’s expectations, you could be removed from the project. It is very important to make good comments regarding the ads assessment.

If you are going to take the exam for this project, it is very important that you go over the 17 page rating guidelines very carefully to make sure that you are giving the ads the correct assessment.

Truckee project qualification

Falcon Insta Ads exam consists of two parts. In part one (reverse rating) you will be given 10 raters’ comments and you will select which rating you believe they assigned to the ad in terms of relevance, usefulness, etc. This part is easy and you should have no problem with it.

In part 2 you will be given 10 ads in which you will be asked to rate each ad and provide comments. All ads might be rated from either US location or in a local perspective. When doing part 2 the most important thing is that your overall rating should be in line with your comment.

Here are a few tips on how to write good comments:

  • When someone reads your comment, a reader should be able to understand what an ad is about without seeing the ad itself.
  • Your comment must include at least two rating aspects such as relevance/usefulness/entertainment/offensive/misleading/visually appealing.
  • Your comment must include words which indicate the level of each aspect (somewhat/vey/not at all).
  • Based on your comment a reader should be able to understand your overall rating.
Additionally, you may consider and explain in your comment:

  • Whether this is the first time you’ve seen this ad or whether it’s a repeat.
  • How you feel about the advertiser.
  • Did the likes and comments influence you?

Make sure you understand of the Overall rating of ‘Definitely don’t want to see’ in order to rate an Ad as a ‘Definitely don’t want to see’, the Ad would need to have a strong negative impact on you.

Keep in mind that only one attempt to take this exam is allowed. Within a few days after exam due date you will be notified about results. If the exam is passed, then you will receive instructions how to create an account with Appen Global and link to Payoneer. I suggest you using my link bellow to register with Payoneer so we both benefit 25$ once your Payoneer account is loaded with your first salary from Appen.

How to stay in Truckee project  for a long time?

The most common reasons for contract termination are low quality of service, productivity, or not meeting contract conditions regarding providing rating service at least 5 days per week. In order to stay on the project for an extended time, your quality feedback score should be not lower than 2.6 (you can see this score on your quality feedback which is sent by Appen on a regular basis). Also your productivity RPH should be not lower than 15 (the number of tasks/time invoiced). Ideally your quality score should be 3 and your RPH 20. Keeping good quality scores can guarantee your continued participation on the program.
